Early Dino Camp registration exceeds expectations; will have waiting list

Idabel, OK (June 21, 2017)—Dino Camp is the Museum’s annual, dinosaur-themed summer program for children ages 4 to 8. This year, it runs from July 10 to July 19, 9 am to noon each day. Campers will learn about different types of dinosaurs, their eating habits and even their poop! A light, “dinosaur-themed” snack will be provided each day. Cost is $40.

Parents and grandparents rushed to sign their children up for Dino Camp after it was announced. Based on previous events, Brian Hendershot, who manages the Museum’s marketing and communication efforts, expects a second wave of registration in early July. As a result, Chrisys Eastep, who is planning Dino Camp, will likely cap the number of children that can attend, and implement a waiting list. Eastep dislikes limiting the number of children but notes, “it’s necessary when planning activities” and “recruiting student volunteers.”

Parents and grandparents can register their children for Dino Camp by calling (580) 286 – 3616. They can also contact the Museum on social media. However, they must pay the $40 fee at the Museum by July 7th to complete their registration.
