Condolences to the family and friends of retired educator and long-time friend of the Museum M. Steven Domjanovich (1947-2023). He was a recognized authority on native American artworks-notably Southeastern baskets and encouraged the revival of craft traditions. He engaged in historical research throughout the country and sponsored personal interactions between interested artisans in Oklahoma with continuing practitioners in Louisiana and Mississippi. A memorial fund has been established in Steve’s name.
