Idabel, OK (November 2, 2018)—The show is open to businesses, schools, and other local organizations. Entries will be accepted from November 20th to November 30th. Submissions will be judged on their creativity, aesthetic qualities and how well they represent their organization. Winners will receive the most important prize of all: bragging rights. All entries must be family-friendly, and under eight feet tall. Trees with artificial snow, glitter, edible, or living decorations are not allowed. A registration form is available online or in the Museum Store.

Festival of Trees is the Museum’s annual celebration of community involvement and Christmas spirit. Christina Eastep, Head of Programs, said “community support is key to our continued success. They help provide free admission and educational programs at little to no cost.” Brian Hendershot, Head of Communications, echoed her sentiment, stating that the Museum’s most famous exhibit, Acrocanthosaurus atokensis, was secured in part by an outpouring of community support. The show will run from December 1 to December 31.
