The Museum is accepting applications for the following position: Coordinator, Holland and Sallie Webb Family Learning Center. The ideal candidate is creative, personable and energetic, with strong verbal and written communication skills. A Bachelor of Arts or Science is preferred. Occasional activities during evening hours and overnight travel for professional development is required.
She or he will oversee all aspects of the Learning Center, which encourages creative learning by multi-generational users through exhibits, hands-on activities, and focused engagement. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Writing labels and brochures
- Creating educational activities
- Making sure the Center is clean and “ready to go” each day
- Installing exhibits
- Assisting visitors with their interactions and play
The Coordinator will also serve as the lead staff member for other visitor engagement initiatives, primarily through organized tours. He or she will be expected to develop new programming as needs or opportunities present themselves.
This is an entry to mid-level, part or full-time position, with a minimum required availability of 25 hours/week, Tuesday through Saturday. Compensation is based on experience and education. The Coordinator will report to senior programming and curatorial staff. Employment is subject to federal and state law. Please note, Oklahoma is a right-to-work state.
